Branding and
Concepting

Our vision

The D&B / We Canteen brand is always subordinate to our goal: creating a fantastic place to stay. We therefore consider it our duty to develop a concept for each location (if desired, of course). A concept that appeals to tenants and employees. One that fits, is right, and works.

"Our marketing department is on par with a full-service advertising agency. I'd venture to say so. Given our close proximity to our clients' needs and practices, I believe that through Customer Intimacy, we are even much stronger creatively."

The scope

Isn't it reassuring to know that the party ultimately responsible for the operation has already designed the routing, layout, and design? That this party has already researched the location, understands its needs, and developed a concept accordingly? An enthusiastic partner-in-crime with all the disciplines in-house, covering the entire scope from design to implementation.

What's in a name

Especially when developing our food courts, we're regularly asked to create a concept and name that aligns with the client's culture or the property's branding. Just like with a unique restaurant, the concept is implemented down to the last detail. We call this the "Signature."

The best of both worlds

A good concept is only effective when it works. When practical considerations are taken into account. For example: a reception desk can be beautifully designed, but if it blocks the hostess's sightlines or is too expensive to maintain, it simply won't work. Our creative team combines the best of both worlds: knowledge and understanding of service delivery. And the creative ability to make it even more appealing.

Time to
market

While an advertising agency completes and delivers a project, D&B's creative team continues throughout the entire operational period. All resources needed during the operation are produced in-house. Website, films, photography, print work, and signing are all part of our service.

Signature
food courts

The best examples of the versatility of our creative power are the We Canteen food courts. A To:morrow at TomTom. Seoulmates at Samsung. Bream at The Joan. Or, for example, a Refined at LyondellBasell. Each one is unique, surprising, and distinctive. The concepts guide the chef in creating the menu and communicating with guests.

For our food court at Samsung's Dutch headquarters at Schiphol Airport, D&B introduced the name 'Seoulmates.' This name refers to the unifying power of good, delicious food. But of course, it also refers to the Korean capital, the birthplace of Samsung.
